UNI 11918:2023 "Managment of Radioactive Waste"

PMITambiente took part in the UNI working group which dealt with the drafting of the UNI 11918:2023 standard "Management of radioactive waste - Waste produced by the medical, healthcare, industrial and research sectors - Characterization and management".

This technical standard defines the main criteria and guidelines for the correct management of solid and liquid radioactive waste and decommissioned sealed sources, produced within the scope of authorized practices for the use of radioactive sources, outside nuclear plants. and research, for the treatment of irradiated fuels, for the preparation and manufacture of special fissile materials and nuclear fuels.
