MITAmbiente and the first GammaPodTM in Europe

MITAmbiente participated to the installation of the first GammaPodTM in Europe, at the Friuli Centrale University Health Authority (ASU FC) in Udine.

GammaPodTM, distributed by Tema Sinergie Spa, is the first stereotaxic radiotherapy system optimized for the treatment of breast cancer: an innovative solution designed to perform non-invasive and highly conformational treatments, with the potential to reduce the entire radiotherapy treatment to one session single and to drastically limit the amount of unwanted radiation to surrounding healthy tissues such as the heart and lungs.

Specifically, thanks to proven techniques, cutting-edge instrumentation, multi-year expertise in shipping and versatility of the staff, MITAmbiente took care of the transport, handling and installation phases of both the radiant unit and the radioactive sources.
